The centre was started in April 2003 in the district in which Swami Adbhutananda (a monastic disciple of Sri Ramakrishna) was born.

Activities:

  • A public library with 8025 books and 47 periodicals and newspapers.
  • A charitable dispensary with allopathic, homeopathic and ayurvedic sections, which treated 58,731 cases, all free of cost. Its mobile unit treated 6470 patients and conducted 2 eye camps and arranged cataract surgery on 1200 patients.
  • Two non-formal education centres with 1155 poor students, a coaching centre with 360 students and two free computer training centres with 80 students (20 boys & 60 girls).
  • Welfare work by way of providing pecuniary help, clothes, blankets, etc to the poor and needy, and milk and snacks to poor children.
  • Religious activities: Religious discourses, spiritual retreats, and celebration of the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and other saints and prophets, and also festivals like Ramnavami, Janmashtami, Buddha Jayanti, Christmas Eve, etc.

  • A free coaching centre with 124 students (including computer training – 24 students).
  • A free students’ home with 3 students.
  • A charitable homeopathic dispensary (10,869 cases treated during the year).
  • Monthly free eye camps and special medical camps (383 patients treated during the year).
  • A small library with 1392 books and 34 newspapers and periodicals.
  • Welfare work by way of providing clothes, blankets, food grains and pecuniary help to the needy, and textbooks and notebooks to poor students.
  • Daily worship and regular religious classes.
  • Celebration of the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and other religious personalities, as also Kali Puja and Annapurna Puja.

This centre was started in a rented house in 1956 and was moved to its own present premises in 1958.

Activities:

A students’ home for 51 college boys.
A library and a reading room with 13,038 books and 48 periodicals and newspapers.
A charitable homeopathic dispensary, which treated 1513 cases this year.
A free mobile medical unit to serve slumdwellers in and around Chandigarh (28,454 cases treated this year).
An eye camp (30 patients underwent cataract surgery).
Religious activities: Spiritual discourses four days a week, fortnightly Ramnam Sankirtan, celebration of the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda, and other saints and prophets, weekly cultural and religious classes for children, and occasional lectures in and around Chandigarh as well as in several cities of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.
Welfare work by way of distributing blankets, clothes to the needy and providing scholarships and pecuniary help to poor and meritorious students.

Activities of the Mission centre :

 

  1. A charitable dispensary with allopathic, homoeopathic and eye
    sections, TB and diabetes clinics and a pathological laboratory.
    It treated 15,024 cases and operated on 1765 patients for
    cataract in its eye-clinic, Sarada Netralaya, during the year.
    Besides, medical camps, (general and eye) were conducted in
    different parts of the state.

  1. A library and a free reading room, with 37,617 books and 66
    newspapers and periodicals.

  1. A free-of-charge students’ home for 13 boys.

  1. A non-formal education centre for children of slum areas with
    100 students.
  1. Value-oriented workshops in various schools and colleges with
    audio-visual units.
  1. Welfare work by way of distributing food, milk, clothing,
    blankets, etc to the poor.
  1. Competitions in recitation, drawing, essay-writing and elocution
    for school and college students.
  1. Religious activities : Regular scriptural classes and lectures,
    celebration of Durga Puja, Kali Puja and the birthdays of Sri
    Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda
    and other spiritual luminaries.

Started in 1926 as Ramakrishna Vivekananda Sevashrama, the centre was made a branch of Ramakrishna Mission in July 2003.

Activities of the Mission centre :

  1.  
    A charitable eye hospital with 30 beds, which treated 1352
    cases and operated 1323 cataract patients. The attached OPD
    wing with allopathic-cum-homeopathic sections treated 34,885
    cases through various departments.

  1. Two charitable homoeopathic dispensaries in the town, which
    treated 39,221 patients.

    Seventeen eye camps were conducted in different villages in Bihar.
    A Child Eye Care Project was also conducted in 4 schools where
    1000 children were screened and were given free medicines.
  1. A library with 2029 books.
  1. Two non-formal education centre with 150 students, who were fed
    daily and were also provided with educational aids.
  1. Training on basic computer operations to students.
  1. Welfare work by way of distribution of blankets etc.
  1. A free coaching centre where 40 students of various
    government schools were given coaching.

Started in 2011 on 4 acres of land at a distance of about 200 km from Bengaluru, the centre was transferred to Sri Sarada Math from Sri Ramakrishna Sharadadevi Seva Trust (R) in November 2013 and conducted:
Daily puja, fortnightly Ramnam Sankirtan and observance of the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and other prophets and saints, as well as some festivals.

  • Occasional medical camps for heart disease, asthma, T.B., arthritis etc. are conducted for the benefit of nearby needy villagers under the supervision of qualified doctors.
  • Welfare activities: educational, medical and pecuniary help to the needy.
  • Relief Work was conducted during Earthquake in 2001 and flood relief in South Gujarat in 2005 and 2006.
