Started in 1971, this centre mainly provides educational facilities to the tribal children of Arunachal Pradesh.

Activities of the Mission centre :

 

  1. An English-medium higher secondary school with 558 boys,
    who are also trained in computer operations, typewriting,
    tailoring, fine arts, cane-work, gardening, agriculture, and so on.
  1. A hostel with 411 students.
  1. A vocational training centre with 14 trainees.
  1. Library with 16,481 books, and 102 periodicals and newspapers.
  1. An outpatient allopathic-cum-homoeopathic dispensary, which
    treated 5919 patients this year. Besides, six medical camps
    were conducted which treated 375 patients.
  1. A mobile medical unit, which treated 1090 patients this year.
  1. An adult education centre with 12 women.
  1. A natural history museum, an art gallery, medicinal plant park,
    dairy, agricultural unit, fishery and poultry farms.
  1. Welfare and village development work by way of providing
    clothing, blankets, pecuniary help etc and running non-formal
    schools for village children.
  1. Celebration of the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother
    Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and other spiritual luminaries
    and conducting religious classes in different parts of the state.

The centre was started in 1979 for providing free medical facilities to the tribal population of Arunachal Pradesh.

Activities of the Mission centre :

 

  1. A hospital with 221 beds, 4 well-equipped operation theatres,
    and medical, surgical, gynaecology, paediatric, anaesthesiology,
    physiotherapy, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, dental, artificial limb
    fitting, ultrasonography, CT Scan, ECG, GI endoscopy, blood bank,
    laboratory, telemedicine and other sections. This year, it treated
    10,284 cases; the attached artificial limb fitting centre provided
    orthoaids and appliances to 1034 patients.

  1. An outpatient allopathic-cum-homoeopathic dispensary, which
    treated 2,12,082 cases this year.

  1. A mobile medical unit which treated 4321 patients and several
    eye camps in which 3013 patients were treated during the year.
  1. A school of nursing with 83 trainees.
  1. Lectures, fortnightly Ramnam Sankirtan, and celebration of the
    birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi,
    Swami Vivekananda and other prophets.

The Centre was started in 1966.

Activities of the Mission centre :

 

  1. An English-Medium higher secondary school for tribal students, with a roll strength of 2057, which includes 707 girls.

  1. A hostel for 250 tribal boys.

  1. Instructional units giving training in dairy-farming, poultry-farming, agriculture, mechanical workshop, carpentry, printing, computer operations and others facilities for training the students.
  1. Two libraries and a reading room, with 20,802 books and 63
    periodicals and newspapers.
  1. An audio-visual unit, which screens educative films for the local people (38 villages covered).
  1. A charitable dispensary, which treated 15,943 patients this year.
  1. A mobile medical unit, which treated 5947 patients this year.
  1. Welfare work : Providing blankets, nutrients, pecuniary help
    and other types of assistance to poor tribal families.

Started in 1938, this ashrama is situated in full view of the sea (Ramakrishna Beach).

Activities of the Mission centre :

 

  1. An English-medium high school, a little away from the ashrama,
    with 373 boys and 394 girls. The attached libary had 1710 book.

  1. A public library and a free reading room with 17,495 books and 82
    newspapers and periodicals.

  1. A dispensary (having a special department for the treatment of cerebral-palsied children, with facilities like physiotherapy, special education, speech therapy, counselling of parents, etc) : 2681 patients were treated. Besides, an eye camp was also organized in a village where 47 paitents were operated on out of 110 patients screened.

  1. Welfare work by way of providing scholarships to poor students and medical aid to the afflicted.
  1. Doll exhibition on the lives of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri
    Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda.
  1. Religious activities: Daily worship, weekly scriptural discourses,
    occasional retreats, and celebration of the birthdays of
    Sri Ramakrishna and other spiritual luminaries.

  1. Educational Camp for students to impart moral, cultural and spiritual values (107 children). Besides, youth retreats and various competitions were also organized for school and college students (1300 students from 30 institutions participated).

Activities of the Main centre :

  1. A free coaching centre with 222 poor students.
  1. An small homoeopathic dispensary, which was run
    once a week (519 patients were treated).

  1. Viveka Vahini, a mobile unit for imparting value education in
    villages and educational institutes. It screened 74 films in 104
    educational institutions and villages benefiting 27,079 students
    and villagers.
  1. Balala Sangham,a cultural centre with 314 school children.
  1. Religious activities: Daily worship, evening aratrikam, bhajans,
    retreats, religious discourses, etc.

  1. A youth convention was conducted in which 70,000 students
    participated.

  1. Welfare work by way of distributing school uniforms, notebooks
    and scholarships to needy students, pecuniary help to poor, etc.

Activities of the Math centre :

 

  1. A library and a reading room with 10,406 books and 50
    newspapers and periodicals.

    sections, which treated 88,061 cases.
  1. A mobile medical unit, which served 45,715 tribal people this
    year; the unit also conducted 12 medical camps in tribal areas
    in which 8029 patients were treated.

  1. Twelve free eye camps, in which 62 patients were operated on and
    137 were provided with intraocular lens (IOLs).

  1. Welfare work by way of providing free food to patients, distribution
    of milk and bread to poor children and buttermilk to pilgrims.

The Math centre was started in 1910. It was made a sub-centre under Chennai Math in 2004 and a full-fledged centre in 2005. The Mission centre was started in 2005.

Activities of the Math centre :

 

  1. A library and a free reading room with 3494 books and 21
    newspapers and periodicals.
  1. Weekly homoeopathic dispensary, which treated 1991 patients.
  1. Daily worship, fortnightly Ramnam Sankirtan, weekly religious

  1. Vivekananda Institute of Spoken English conducted five
    courses with 73 students.
  1. VIDYA (Vivekananda’s Inspiration for Development of Youth
    Awakening)—a mobile unit conducting personality development
    programmes in various parts of the state. During the year 44
    programmes were conducted in which 12,167 students participated.

The centre was started in 1961 and made a branch of the Mission in 1992.

Activities of the Mission centre :

  1. A free welfare home for 60 destitute boys.
  1. A vocational training centre providing training in electrical,
    electronics, tailoring, and other vocations. 325 students enlisted
    this year.

    Five free coaching centres with 610 students. They were also
    provided with study materials, nutritious food, moral and
    cultural education and tips on hygienic living.
  1. A cultural centre for children and yoga classes.
  1. A computer training centre with 125 students during the year.

  1. A library with 3100 books, and 20 newspapers and periodicals.
  1. Religious activities: Daily worship, weekly spiritual classes, and
    celebration of the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri
